Residential 3-way Switch Upgrade

The homeowner had a bad 3-way switch. The toggle mechanism was broken and would not turn off the kitchen lights from either location. Replaced the switch with a new white 3-way switch at the 4 gang box. Once replaced everything was working as it should. Circuit diagnostic recommended. All switches are back-stabbed and have about 1/4 to a 1/2 inch of exposed copper. Recommended re-devicing the whole house to ensure proper wiring and wrap all new devices around screws. Also recommended updating smoke detectors to the new 10 year sealed battery detectors with 1 smoke/co2 detector per floor to comply with current NEC code requirements.
