We received a report from property managemers that residents were complaining that it appeared their dogs were getting shocked when walking on a mulched area in this Timonium townhouse community. Arrived on site to troubleshoot light pole wiring. The only source of electrical current in the area were pole lights along the walkway. We attempted to reproduce the problem. Dug around the pole light to expose electrical wiring in the ground. Inspected the wiring and tested for voltage leak. The wire was free of damage, and no reading was found. In an abundance of caution, we serviced the pole light to clear debris from the socket, checked voltage at the fixture to see if there was an unanticipated drop which would indicate a break further along on the circuit. Could not find the problem described, but made sure everything was properly inspected and in good working order. all work was tested and complete.
