Our long partnership with BGE installing DC fast charging EV stations throughout the area continues. The ribbon cutting for these EV Smart chargers at St Frances Academy took place on December 4, 2023. The BGE Design Team challenged students from the Baltimore Design School to design wraps for EV chargers as part of their curriculum. Students met with BGE to understand the brief and submitted digital designs for the station wraps. The winning design was submitted by Sierra House, seen in the photo left of center. Congratulations Sierra! These EV chargers were funded in part with a grant issued by the U.S. Department of Energy in support of the BGE and Mid-Atlantic Electrification Partnership initiative to provide equitable access to clean transportation, helping Maryland reach its net-zero emissions goals.
